No Kids & Mirah @ The Black Cat (October 25, 2008)

My friends and I were bored one Saturday night in DC and heard Mirah was playing at the Black Cat. We knew some of her songs so we decided to check it out.  The best part of the concert was Mirah's a cappella song "The Garden". The whole crowd was incorporated as the audience kept the beat while she sang.

With only one album, Pop Up, the Yelle Concert was short and sweet. The "A Cause Des Garcons" singer was adorable bouncing around the stage dancing for the entirety of the show. What else can be said, it was cute, fun, and very french.

MSTRKRFT "One More Time" @ Webster Hall (October 10, 2008)

Just when everyone thought it was over, MSTRKRFT comes out with this ridiculously amazing encore of "One More Time" by Daft Punk (and yes, at this point it is 4:00 AM). Such a flash back to my senior year of high school.

MSTRKRFT & Felix Cartal @ Webster Hall (October 10, 2008)

MSTRKRFT continued to amaze in NY with their Fist of God Tour. As we walked into the upstairs of Webster Hall we were amazed by DJ Felix Cartal in his signature red beanie, he made us dance lol. Finally at 2AM it was MSTRKRFT's turn to wow. The combination of people on stage falling into the crowd with people from the crowd jumping over people in attempts to get that much closer to the duo created a sort of amazing chaos that only MSTRKRFT could produce. It was so amazing in fact that Jesse seemed to pass out...a little too much crown royal? Whatever the cause, he bounced back to produce an incredible encore of "One More Time".
